Overnight Oats are a healthy, delicious make ahead breakfast. Perfect for those who have hectic mornings. It needs to be prepared at night before you go to bed but trust me it’s so easy. All you do is throw everything in a mason jar, place it in the fridge and wait to grab it and go in the morning.
Overnight oats are just oats soaked overnight. They absorb the liquid you put them in – any kind of liquid you like! The most common being almond milk. They are raw which helps to avoid that gummy texture that cooked versions sometimes take on.
Overnight Oats Ingredients…
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup frozen berries
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 cup almond milk
Steps to follow
- Place all ingredients in a mason jar in the order listed above.
Place in fridge for the next morning
In the morning, add another 1/2 cup milk, 1 sliced banana and stir well
- You can also add any nuts and seeds that you prefer (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds etc.)
