Don’t Stop Until You’re Proud

Last week I had a really great running week. I got a PB on my 5k time and ran 10K. I haven’t ran that far in a really long time. I was really proud of myself and started reflecting on how far I have come. How did I get to where I am today. When I talk about my running goals with others, sometimes people think I was always a runner. Just naturally good at it. Let me tell you there was nothing natural about it. When I started running I was SLOW. And I mean SLLLOOOW!!! I also could only run f...

Being In Control of our own lives

Is it crazy that I feel like we're in control of our own lives? That I believe every decision we make ultimately decides our outcome? Some people say 'you're lucky' to spend so much time at the beach. I'm guessing they meant 'you're fortunate'. Which is two very different things. Isn’t it a bit odd that one person’s mind set is completely different than another’s. A suppose it’s not odd, I mean we’ve all come from different areas and different backgrounds; we’ve all been raised with different beliefs, even values and norms. But still the fact remains, what one person feels is impossible another will do and sometimes with ease. I set out to box jump 60 inches. Many feel this is impossible, however professional athletes do it all the time. Even on my way to 60, when I t...

Inspiration from Cindy Gale

I LOVE this picture of Cindy Gale rockin the water skis. I've been working with Cindy for quite some time and she always finds a way to push herself. We've talked about water skiing goals, health and fitness goals and her passion to continue to push forward regardless or any limitation or rather the thought of a limitation.   -I'd say more times than not we have reasons why we 'can't' (which is a mind set) instead of reasons why we can. - Drew Taddia Cindy is one of those Members that ...
