On a personal level, I think it’s special to get something in the mail that isn’t a bill. Most people don’t receive much mail anymore, and while it takes extra time, cost, and organization—buying stamps, picking cards, tracking who gets one and when—that’s a system we’ve built ourselves over the years.
Nic is now training Ohla on it, and it’s honestly more complicated than you’d think.
But regardless of the time or expense, I believe it’s worth it. We’re not Amazon, rushing out empty boxes with no thought or care. Every single one of your orders matters to us. Each person in this community contributes positively to our lives, and we want to reflect that as often as possible.
Recently, we’ve added handwritten cards along with little Halloween toys as a small extra way to show we care. Haven’t heard much back yet—and that’s okay—we’ll continue doing the little extras most companies won’t.
That said, I did notice some amazing birthdays pop up on Facebook lately. Unfortunately, with the Canada Post strike, we aren’t able to send out cards right now.
Still, no matter how long the strike lasts, we’ll keep finding ways to show you how much we appreciate you.
