You might be surprised to know there’s a new game in town! Most of us have heard of Epsom salts, but have you heard of Magnesium flakes?

Epsom Salts
Epsom salts is a Magnesium as well – it’s actually called Magnesium Sulphate. Unfortunately it’s hard for your body to absorb this form of Magnesium. Which is a good reason it’s super cheap to purchase at the drug store.

You know what it’s like to sit on what’s not disolved in the bath tub; not all that comfortable is it? What’s worse is, you put a full cup of Epsom salts into your bath and half of it ends up down your drain!

Liquid Mag

So why Liquid Mag and How We Designed Our Magnesium Supplement? Through our extensive research we realized that there were over 10 different types of magnesium including:

  • magnesium chloride,
  • magnesium glycinate,
  • magnesium threonate,
  • magnesium bicarbonate,
  • magnesium citrate,
  • magnesium malate,
  • magnesium oxide
  • and elemental magnesium just to name a few.

This list becomes very confusing and its hard to figure out which is the best for every person. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

Our intention was to design a product that would have the most benefit to the most people. Our first focus group was designed to see what types of products everyone was taking and find out WHY they were taking these products. The types of products people were taking was all over the board, literally every type. Next we focused on WHY people were taking magnesium, this is where we drew our inspiration.

We found most people were taking magnesium for:

  • energy,
  • depression,
  • anxiety,
  • sleep,
  • digestive issues
  • and heart health

Based on feedback from the focus group and other message boards on social media we narrowed down our search for the WHY and focused on WHICH type or types of magnesium would be best and balanced for everyone.

In considering our formulation, we of course placed highest priority on the magnesium ion itself. After all, most people aren’t deficient in bicarbonate. Some of the other types of magnesium have interesting properties and help get other beneficial proteins and vitamins to different parts of your brain and body.

These are magnesium Threonate, magnesium glycinate and magnesium chloride. Coincidentally (or not) these are the three types of magnesium in Liquid Mag. I’ll explain a little about each type and why we chose them.


Chlorella Algae – Small (120 tabs)

Chlorella in particular is great for detoxing the body. In fact we suggest that every time you have a fish product, you take some chlorella tabs.

You’ll notice that fish isn’t listed in the meal plan, the reason being, you’ll often find high levels of heavy metal in fish, found in the ocean.

The bigger the fish is, the more hard metals it will have in its body because in most cases the bigger the fish the longer it has lived, which means it’s had a longer amount of time to be contaminated by hard metals.

Which means the bigger the fish we consume and the fish we eat, the more hard metals we’ll be consuming when eating fish.

Given chlorella’s detoxing benefits, it’s actually binding and can help remove hard metals along with other toxins that our bodies take in throughout the day, which is why we choose to take this one at the end of the day.

Some of our ingredients in our Protein Powder you’ll read as ‘Fermented’, we’re super excited about this because…

A. It’s rare to find fermented ingredients in a protein supplement (because it costs more and they are harder to find).

B. Fermentation helps improve the digestion process.

Unfortunately in many cases protein powers cause digestion issues – they don’t help with digestion issues.

So we wanted to flip the script and change that with our product.

We chose fermented because it’ll make our ingredients easy to digest, utilize and absorb. Which means you’ll get more bang for your buck!

Take a low quality supplement for example that says it has 20g of protein. Unfortunately, many people only see ‘20g of protein‘. They don’t look at the company (and what they stand for), the source of ingredients and what other ingredients may be impeding the absorption process.
