This is a bit more personal than I usually share. Maybe I’m becoming more comfortable with who I am, or maybe I’m realizing people ask me for advice without really knowing the kind of person they’re asking. So here goes.

Years ago, a friend called me an urban hippy.

And if you looked at me now — shaved head, sometimes a mohawk, sometimes a different color, usually in shorts, a t-shirt and hoodie (or sweats when it’s cold) — you probably wouldn’t label me a “greenie” or a “hippy” or whatever they call natural-living types these days.

But that’s exactly who I am.

Why I’m Wired the Way I’m Wired

Baseball was most of my life, all the way up to the professional level. And in that world, you’re constantly told what to do — when to sleep, when to wake up, when to eat, when to train. Imagine being a grown man with someone still dictating your bedtime. That was normal.

And at the same time, the jobs I worked throughout my life — usually evenings and weekends — weren’t much different. Low-level labor. They didn’t exactly treat you like royalty.

Even before all that, in school, I was labeled the “troubled kid.”

Never clicked with most teachers.

Couldn’t wait to get out of the system.

So the theme was consistent:

People telling me what to do.

No surprise I built my own business and created a life where nobody does

(except my wife — she’s still the real boss 😉).

My Beliefs About the World

I’m not a fan of the government. I don’t believe they operate in our best interest — I believe they operate in their financial interest. And are enslaved to the all mighty dollar. If that makes some people call me a conspiracy theorist, I’m okay with that.

I’m also not big on big pharma.

I believe medicine has a place, but it’s massively overused, overprescribed, and often used long before any natural solution is even considered.

Most of the time, there’s a healthier, more natural way to heal, live, and thrive.

Natural Health, Supplements & Innovation

I believe in the cleanest, most natural supplements possible. Long before we helped design and manufacture True Form products, I used natural supplements myself — and they worked. I’ve seen them work for years in our customers too.

I also believe innovation is rising fast.

We have the chance to be healthier than ever if we stay intentional.

But that doesn’t mean I’m on board with every trend.

I’m not a fan of TRT for men or HRT for women — not because they don’t work, but because they don’t seem so natural to me, and I’ve seen incredible results in both men and women without them.

On the other hand, I believe stem cells, peptides, and similar therapies will be part of our future. We’re only seeing the early stages of what’s possible, especially given how unhealthy society has become.

My Beliefs About Humans

I believe babies — untouched and unconditioned — are the most perfect beings on earth.

As they grow, we start tampering with that. Not because we’re bad, but because we’ve been shaped by a flawed system.

Why do I share that?

Because I’m incredibly envious of how they are.

They love without fear.

They trust without thought.

They move like water — strong, mobile, flexible, and free.

They’re healthy, vibrant, present, and perfect in every way.

That’s how I believe humans were meant to live…

until everything else gets in the way.

As adults, the same thing continues.

I believe our natural state is strong, mobile, flexible, energized, and healthy.

What pulls us away from that?

Our choices.

What we put in our body (as ‘food’).

How much we move.

How far we drift from what’s natural.

Minimalism, Simplicity & Clutter-Free Living

We’re minimalists.

We live as simply as possible.

We try to remove as much clutter — physical, mental, emotional — as we can.

No extra stuff, no storage units, no piles of things we never use.

Just what matters, what we use, and what gives us energy.

Less clutter = more focus.

More space = more clarity.

My Natural Tendencies

I don’t wear sunscreen.

I rarely wear sunglasses (though I do sometimes).

I loathe electronics.

I don’t own a TV.

Most people don’t understand these choices. That’s okay. I’m not asking them to. This is what I choose, I’m not asking you to choose the same.

Our Lifestyle

Try explaining this to the average person:

We don’t own a home at our age

We travel when we want

We stay long-term in Airbnbs

We choose freedom over convention

We build our life around values, not what society says is “normal”

We keep things simple and uncluttered

Most people can’t wrap their head around it.

I’m guessing some of you will have the same look on your face right now while reading this as I get when someone on their one-week resort vacation, that comes once a year, asks how long we’re staying and I say,

“A few months.”

Old-School Values in a Soft Society

I’m not a fan of brand-new ideologies or ideas that don’t make sense. I lean old-school in a lot of ways.

I believe we’ve become a soft society — one that avoids discomfort, doesn’t understand hard work, and forgets what real grit looks like.

That’s not who I am.

It’s not how I live.

And it’s not how we raise our family.

family love

I love my family deeply and would do anything to protect them.
They are my entire world. And I wish each day would last just a little longer so we could spend more time together.

If You’re Still With Me…

I know some of these thoughts won’t align with yours.

Some of them might challenge you.

Some might even trigger you.

If who we are or how we live feels like too much, you’re absolutely welcome to move on and find a space that feels more comfortable.

But if you’re someone who:

gets it

wants to get it

doesn’t fully understand but respects a different way of thinking

or feels drawn to a more natural, intentional way of living

…then I’m glad you’re here.

And if you read this and think,

“Yep — those are my people,”

then I can’t wait to keep growing together.

Anyone still there?

If you made it all the way to the end of this, it probably means some part of this message sits somewhere inside you too.

Most people scroll right past long posts like this.

But if something here connected with you, I’d love to know who feels aligned with this way of living.

Send us an email or DM — even a simple “I’m with you” — so I know you’re out there.
