I know there’s a good number of people waiting for their products. Currently we are mostly out of stock of greens and have been out of stock of our vanilla protein for much longer than expected.
I wish there was something more we could do. I feel like it’s an easy cop out to remove accountability for yourself by saying ‘my hands are tied’ or ‘there’s nothing we can do’. But the truth is, there isn’t.
I mean, our main goal in business is to keep our customers happy, and without products to sell, we’re basically a non profit putting out free videos, recipes and blog posts (like we did for years ;)). So we want the product to come in as soon as possible as well.
I’m in constant contact with shipping companies and manufacturers to see when the products will arrive but they are often in the same boat of waiting. Waiting for ingredients to arrive, for production to kick in, or for their own transport and trucking services to deliver product on time.
The only thing I can think of is to order more product in the future but as a smaller company there’s only so much product we can afford to order in advance.
I suppose it’s worth noting that when ordering product it’s not so cut and dry. There is constant negotiation even when using the same manufacturer which we do as often as possible so we don’t have to start over with a new company.
How long will production take, what quantity, for what price. If we’re bringing products or ingredients in there are customs, brokers, extra fees and longer wait times. And then trucking depending on what is negotiated is a whole different ball game of arranging pick up, payment, lost packages, etc. All that we deal with on a regular basis and are happy to. But worth mentioning because it’s not as simple as putting in a quick order and expecting your product to show up on time.
Of course we don’t want to lose customers. We work hard at not just finding new customers but doing everything we can to keep customers and to keep them happy. Everyone in business knows it’s more cost/time efficient to keep a customer than to find a new one (or rather, most businesses *should *know this but likely don’t).
We hope that our customers don’t go somewhere else, or don’t find the cheapest box store because they are tired of waiting. But if that’s the choice made, we understand.
We have taken prepayments for some products to expedite the process once it arrives, so we can ship out immediately. If anyone is tired of waiting and prefers a refund we’d be more than happy to provide that for you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work towards completing all your orders as soon as possible. And receiving the shipments that we are waiting for.
You’ll all be notified once they arrive.
