In the last blog I posted a short write up about how much it means to me when I hear one of our members is seeing results, and how much I appreciate them relaying this message to me. These results usually include how strong they are feeling, how much weight they’ve lost, and of course the energy they’ve gained throughout the day, to name a few.
After that blog was posted I had 2 more people come forward with stories of their own. One story was, a member had to keep pulling their pants up, and didn’t notice they were losing inches, just annoyed they had to keep pulling their pants up. Great story that makes me laugh. The other person commented on my radio show. They said it inspired them, which again means more than I could express.
As a business owner, we seldom get feedback, in fact as a business owner a phrase that gets passed around is ‘no feedback is good feedback’, the reason behind that is most times you only hear from someone when they’re unhappy.
I don’t count clicks or ‘hit’s’ to my website. I don’t look at who or how many open my newsletters anymore, it’s hard to avoid the number of ‘views’ on the youtube videos but for the most part I stay away from these things. For the sole purpose of, it gets discouraging. And of course you do your best not to take it personally if someone hits unsubscribe or deletes your email without opening it (cause all those can be tracked if one was interested). And then there’s questions asked right after an email or newsletter was sent.
The same goes with the radio show, a lot of time and effort goes into the show, you never know who’s listening live on air or online, but when you see ‘views’ on your video you know exactly how many people viewed it. Try to wrap your head around a million views in a video of a cat meowing and 30 ‘views’ on good information on health and fitness. What used to concern me about that doesn’t anymore, I know if one person listens and learns it’s all worth it. Which is why that single person that told me they were ‘inspired’ by my words makes all the shows worth it up to this point. So thank you for that.
Business owners are real people, most times they provide a service that people want, otherwise they wouldn’t be in business. I think at times people feel it necessary to vent to business owners instead of offering a compliment.
For this reason, I’ve taken it upon myself to write thank you letters to businesses or establishments when I’ve received a good product or service. I don’t do this for any reason other than it makes me feel good to go out of my way to thank someone and to make someone else feel good. I’d imagine this type of thing happens very seldom, and I think it would cool to see the look on someone’s face when they open a thank you letter instead a letter of complaint.
It all comes down to communication. After I made it public I enjoy positive (and constructive) feedback, I received some. Otherwise how would a person know to share.
That was a couple different subjects wrapped into one. My point of this post was to thank those that learn, watch and listen. My audience isn’t the millions who’d rather watch a ‘cat video’, my audience are those that want to make and change and do each and everyday.

You are Welcome. Thank You for all your inspiration to more people than you know.
You make me proud.
