Our 4th annual Bear Awareness Week will be held April 23 to April 28, 2012. We will be doing bear safety presentations to all grades in the Cremona School on Monday April 23. Family Fun Day is on Saturday, April 28th at Elkton Valley Campground and our agenda is:
10 am – 11:30 am Open House, Bear Biology and Safety displays, Kid’s Crafts
11:30 am – 1 pm Free BBQ Hamburger & Hot Dog Lunch (displays and crafts continue)
1 pm – 2 pm Guest Speaker on bear safety issues
2 pm – 2:30 pm Door Prizes awarded
2:30 – 4 pm Outdoor Demonstrations and Kid’s Treasure Hunt
Directions to Elkton Valley Campground: Take Highway #22 to the Elkton Road turnoff (7 miles north of Cremona or 9.5 miles south from Highway #27), go west on Elkton Road for almost 1.5 miles (watch for the campground signs and do not cross the bridge), turn right and follow the road to the registration entrance.
