I just got home from the field where I had the opportunity to play with the Queensland Rams.  The Rams are a state team where they are supposed to take the best players around to represent the state.  This was an exhibition game so all the players did not come especially coming from all over the state. Something was said about an extra player and my name was mentioned as I was standing there to watch the game.  The head coach (who is an Ex-Major League player) came up to me and asked if I was interested in playing tonight.  I told him I’m always interested in playing.  He told me I had an hour to get ready.
I rushed home, grabbed my gear and headed back to the field.  I hit number 7 in the line up and played right field.  Things went pretty well.  I made all the plays hit to me.  I had 2 hits, a walk, a stolen base and scored the first run..I also had the first hit.  We ended up winning the game.  It was a good experience. I’ve been playing pretty well all year, what it took was to be standing in the right place at the right time. So I ask if it’s true.  Is it better to be lucky or good?  Maybe lucky then good.  Pay attention, you never know when an opportunity will arise.
