I don’t eat dessert. I don’t even know what it is or where it came from. I think we were raised to have some sort of sweet food to reward ourselves for….eating maybe, not sure.
Dessert is a habit, that’s all it is. Your body expects it because you give it something sweet after a meal. So after every meal you crave something sweet, until you are forced to give in. Then you feel guilty and eat more because you are feeling bad about yourself…. Sounds like a train wreck to me.
I’m not interested in starting an unhealthy habit since I don’t have it now but I do have something you might be interested in.
Where I live at the moment they have amazing fresh fruit. We bought a box of 20 mangos for $20. So that’s my dessert. Try this if you have mango’s or maybe a different fruit you may like that is in your area.
Fruit (Mango’s for me)
Yogurt
Ground Flax Seed
That’s it, hits the spot.
Would you believe I am actually starting to crave mango’s after dinner. What a terrible habit that is.
Another option I found in a magazine that was also pretty good you might want to try for dessert:
mint leaves
Cucumber
Yogurt
Start a new habit today, maybe you’ll crave something better for your body.
