I recently woke up to an email that instantly brightened my day, they talked about Complete Truth Protein, Detoxify Yourself AND my newsletter.  They said they read the newsletter and enjoy it which quite honestly means everything to me.  Those of us that send out newsletters know we put a lot of time and effort into them and that’s exactly what goes into them, every single week and the feedback I usually get is a message that someone unsubscribed.  Don’t get me wrong, every once in a while I get a very nice message which inspired this write up you’re reading now.  But usually I send out letter after letter and don’t receive anything in response, which is fine, that’s what ‘I’ signed up for.

I usually relate business to health because those two subject are almost always on my mind at this point so let’s about the newsletter.  Let’s analyze the newsletter, the company business and health.  I don’t monetize my newsletter which means I don’t charge for it and I don’t even sell anything on it.  Sometimes I talk about my products but I wouldn’t consider those sales pitches.  Which means I send out newsletter after newsletter without a financial gain, meaning what comes back is very little (in tangible results).

Now let’s look at your health.  You try to eat better, workout and often see minimal results.  Then you fall off the wagon for a short time and it feels like you have to start all over again.  So comparing the two, starting all over with workouts and getting an email that says someone has unsubscribed.  To me they seem very closely linked.

The message that I want to get across is, it takes time and effort for both your health and your business to reap the benefits of your commitment.  Can you really expect to be fit, healthy and energized by working out once a week or maybe for two weeks every few months?  And can you really expect to gain trust, offer valuable information and have people interested in your service by sending out an email once a month?  I think the answer is clear in both cases.  These take time, (more time than most are willing to commit), they take consistent persistence, sacrifices and an unending will to succeed.  To me, that’s the formula to success.  It isn’t quick fixes, it’s not a few emails here or there or a few workouts this week and that.  It’s the lifestyle you commit to and that’s what determines how you move forward in life, in health and in business.
