I ran into some dried orange peels the other day when I was in a Chinese grocery store.  I figured if they were selling them, then people are buying them and there must be a reason for it.  Upon research I found, there’s a ton of health benefits to orange peels.  Not only does it taste good adding an extra kick from anything from stir fry’s to tea but it can also improve our health.  Indigestion, bad breath and this here below:

Beta-Carotene

Orange peels contain beta-carotene, a pigment in orange and yellow fruits and vegetables. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A in your body, which is beneficial for your immune system, as well as vision health. The University of Maryland Medical Center says beta-carotene is also an antioxidant, which helps protect your body from free radicals that can cause cell damage.

All I did was scrub and wash the orange before I peeled it, place in a dehydrator (or air dried), and store in a glass jar.  When I want to add something new, I reach for the dried orange peels.
As I write this post right now I’m enjoying green tea with a few dried orange peels.  Enjoy this refreshing idea!
