This will be a quick update. I’ve been a little busy the last few days. We’ll be leaving for our game in a short time.
It’s the semi finals and we had to travel 3 hours to our game. I was a little worried the guys would be off to a slow start and a little sluggish. No one showed any affects of the long drive. We jumped out to an early lead and didn’t give them a chance to answer. Our pitcher threw a no hitter into the 6th inning. After a hit and a run we took him out and finished the game. The final score was 7-3.
The next game went a little different. It seemed that the team was expecting another incredible performance by our pitching staff. They pitched well but our 4 runs to their 5 didn’t get the job done. If you didn’t know the score you would think we were up by a large margin. We had guys on base all day but didn’t score them. The few they had on base scored. That’s the bottom line, they got hits when they needed to and we didn’t. The ending was pretty exciting. We ended up having bases loaded with one out, an intentional walk here and an error led to it. Unfortunately, once again we couldn’t get that hit we needed to tie or win the game. Back to a place called Toowomba, 3 hrs away. Instead of sweeping the series we decided to make it hard on ourselves, drive all the way back up there and play one more elimination game. We are 2-0 at the moment, if we’re not 3-0 in elimination games, it will be our last.
